About Earwig Organics
Greetings, my name is James Dexter I am the owner and Director of Earwig Organics. I have been an active participant in the organic gardening and farming movement for over 20 years. My journey began in 1987 when I became an apprentice at the prestigious Agroecology program at the University of California Santa Cruz.
In 1990 I graduated from the University of Greenwich with a BSc in Environmental Science specialising in earth sciences. Since then I have worked on various organic farms and gardens in the states and the UK and I have developed a practical understanding of the issues around sustainable food production, soil science and human health.
In the mid 1990's my attention turned to the social side of food production and my work began to focus on environmental education and horticultural therapy. For a time I was the gardener at a city farm in Islington, London and then I became manager of a day support centre for adults with learning difficulties in Virginia, USA. At both of these places I developed a horticultural therapy program and organic vegetable garden.
Now, back in the UK I run Earwig Organics out of my home in Norwich, Norfolk. I intend to offer for sale a selected range of products that work in harmony with nature. I wish to promote products that will improve your soil and help you to grow mineral rich and tasty vegetables and healthy flowers, lawns, trees and shrubs.
My 1st carefully selected product is GeoGro which comes from volcanic 'Basalt' rock which is rich in minerals and trace elements. I am using GeoGro in my garden and have had impressive results with bigger, more disease resistant and tastier fruit and veg. I strongly recommend it to gardeners and farmers who are concerned about mineral depletion in their soils.
